Who I am
Education
Grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa where I competed in football, wrestling, track and field and cross country.
Graduated from Iowa State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Competed for ISU as a pole vaulter.

Coaching - Event Management
Coached high school cross country and track & field for 4 years at Burlingame High School in California. Served as assistant coach for jumps at College of San Mateo.
Working for West End Management for 15 plus years as event staff for some of the largest running events in the San Franciso Bay Area. Eventullay moved into the office to organize and coordinate the events, service vendors and volunteers for all events.
Created the 1999 Chronicle Marathon San Francisco to replace the existing San Francisco Marathon that was up for sale.
Provided meet management services for various track and field competitions and cross country competitions around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Beyond the Track
Spent the last 10 years working with the latest sports timing technology supporting and training customers all around the globe. Worked directly with scoreboard manufacturers to improve their interface with Finishlynx and Fieldlynx software.
Working for Robert A. Bothman, Inc., begining with the grading of the project site, I was actively involed as Assistant Project Manager in all phases of athletic facility construction.
Working for California Track and Engineering, I traveled the state of California striping new and existing tracks for high schools, colleges and universities. Began the ground work for setting up a new track maintenance division in California to help prolong the life of track surfaces.
Subcontracted under Springco Athletics to convert existing 440 yard tracks to 400 meters and provide permanent markes for all start lines, finish lines and hurdle locations. Eventually became a sole proprietro with the track conversion business.
